The Ngāti Hauā Iwi Trust (NHIT) is established to receive, manage, administer and apply the Trust’s assets (derived from the Ngāti Hauā Deed of Settlement with the Crown signed on 18 July 2013) on behalf of and for the benefit of the present and future members of Ngāti Hauā in accordance with its Trust Deed.
Descendants of Ngāti Hauā are invited to apply to register as a member using this Form.
It is important to register all whanau members, including every dependent child. A separate application Form must be completed for each person. Parents can register their children however persons 18yrs or older must complete and sign their own Form.
Registration will enable you to participate in key strategic matters.
A Whakapapa Committee has been established and this committee shall be responsible for validating the applicant’s whakapapa to Ngāti Hauā.

Pursuant the privacy Act 1993 the information held on this form may be included in the Register, and may be used at the discretion of Ngāti Hauā Iwi Trust or any successor to Ngāti Hauā lwi Trust. Such purpose include identification of Ngāti Hauā, and/or Ngāti Hauā Roopu itself: also to derive any entitlement as members of hapu of Ngāti Hauā, and/or itself in the future.
